According to Moonalice legend, today Union Square is infested with Donald ducks. This will come as no surprise to you, as the whole world is going crazy, thanks in large to the tiny fingered, Cheeto-faced, ferret wearing shit gibbon also known as Donald Trump. We dig into the Moonalice legend, looking for answers to understand why this is happening. Fortunately, we found one. Tonight’s poster by Jennae Bennett depicts, Jerry Wolf Moonalice. Armed with a large square of blotter acid, Jerry Wolf is the demagogue’s greatest nightmare. He speaks truth to assholes, defends the helpless, feeds the poor, raises taxes on billionaires, rebuilds infrastructure, legalizes pot, and serves up a tasty duck a l’orange.

According to Moonalice legend, today is the 20th of April … the day after Bicycle Day … two days after Patriots Day … better known to us as 4/20. This year 4/20 is the day that the United States finally decided to replace the horrific Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with the incredible and wonderful Harriet Tubman. Every year 4/20 is a day to celebrate the world’s most popular weed, cannabis. We are gathered here at Slim’s to share the High Holy Day of 4/20 with the members of our tribe. Legend

According to Moonalice legend, totem poles stand tall as a symbol of Alaskan culture. They tell stories about family and even bands. So imagine our surprise when we arrived at Alyeska to find a totem pole about Moonalice. As depicted in tonight’s poster by Jennae Bennett, the totem pole tells the tale of the young musician Pete Sears paddling his canoe past sea monsters on his way from England. It tells of young Barry Sless’ triumph over a basket of steamed jumbo blue crabs in his home town of Baltimore. Of San Francisco native Jay Lane’s struggles to enjoy a lifetime of good weather. And of me, beating the depression that comes from cheering for a team in last place. The totem pole also shows what brought this band together … music, of course. But also great weed!
