Carolyn Ferris
Carolyn is a psychedelic and surrealistic poster artist, graphic designer, and illustrator. She began her career as a painter and illustrator in 1984. She worked with Timothy Leary in the early nineties, illustrating for some of his books and working on inter-active paintings with him. It was Timothy’s belief that paintings were archaic and computer art was to be the wave of the future. He encouraged her to become a computer artist. To get her started, Timothy introduced her to Brummbaer, one of the first computer artists in the mid-nineties. Brummbaer helped her with a shopping list all of the necessary computer and software needs, and within six months after learning Photoshop, Carolyn had her first rock poster assignment for The Fillmore in San Francisco.
Since then she has continued to illustrate, design, and work inter-actively with other artists, and has worked with several bands such as Santana, Widespread Panic, and one of her favorites: Moonalice.
