Moonalice poster by Carolyn Ferris & Wes Wilson
Legend
According to Moonalice Legend, today’s poster — #1006 in the Moonalice series – is a collaboration by Wes Wilson and Carolyn Ferris, depicts the great folk singer, Baez Odetta Moonalice. This is a real time view of Baez preparing to play at a demonstration tonight outside the White House. She is going to sing her new protest song, “Pffffttttt!”. A tribute to the white supremacist who occupies the White House, “Pffffttttt!” has a lyric composed entirely of harmonized farts and belches.
In the wake of Charlottesville and the historic Trump press conference yesterday, I want to take a moment to be serious. We want to thank all of you for coming out for tonight’s show. We want to thank you for being part of our tribe. We want you to know how much we appreciate everything you do. These are scary times and we need to stick together. For those of you who are here for the first time, I want you to understand what we stand for. The Moonalice tribe is committed to equality for all. We are committed to peace and love for all. We are also committed to cannabis for all. We stand in opposition to male patriarchy, white supremacy and all –isms.
