In Memory of Dave Hunter poster by Prairie Prince
Legend
Dave Hunter, a visionary poster designer who has created work for Moonalice, Metallica, the Neville Brothers and Dr. John, Les Claypool and many more, is a gifted artist who sadly lost his battle to brain cancer this week. Fortunately, he has many friends, among them Steve Kimock, for whom he has created considerable art.
This event included performances by Steve Kimock & Friends, featuring Steve Kimock (Zero, the Other Ones) Jeff Chimenti (Dead & Co.), Bobby Vega (Zero, Sly and the Family Stone), John Morgan Kimock (Mike Gordon), and Leslie Mendelson (Bob Weir), plus very special guests, took the stage in honor of Dave. Divine and illuminating visuals were also presented by artist Jonathan Singer.
We can’t get through life alone. “Art and Soul” will not only be a joyous celebration through elevated music, but a healing experience that all attending can share in.

Artist’s Statement
In the Treasury Museum of the Cathedral of Palermo, Sicily, is found this rare depiction of the Phoenix in its resurrection from the ashes in the form of a beautiful jewel. This Cathedral, built in 1185, holds treasures belonging to the ages. In my poster, I have chosen this image to honor the life of Dave Hunter. — Prairie Prince
