The outpouring of love for artist Dave Hunter who is battling brain cancer continues with “Art & Soul” – A Concert to Benefit Dave Hunter with Steve Kimock & Friends on Friday, May 12th, 2017 at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA.

Steve Kimock & Friends, featuring Steve Kimock, Jeff Chimenti, Bobby Vega, John Morgan Kimock and Leslie Mendelson, plus very special guests, will take the stage on Dave’s behalf.

Opening for Steve Kimock & Friends will be Disreputable Few made up of Los Angeles area musicians who recently backed Bob Weir in several appearances at this year’s NAMM show.

Artist Jonathan Singer will be providing divine and illuminating visuals.

There will also be a silent auction, raffle, and poster art show bringing together some of the best of the Bay Area.

We can’t get through life alone. “Art and Soul” will not only be a joyous celebration through elevated music, but a healing experience that not only Dave but all attending can share in. Special thanks to Katie Kincade Designs for the great poster pictured above.

Help Dave Hunter Fight Brain Cancer

Artist Dave Hunter has been dealing with brain cancer lately and his close friend Megan Watters is organizing a fundraiser on youcaring.com to help him out.

The Story

Dear friends, family, brothers & sisters and art lovers,

Many of you know by now that Dave Hunter is battling that beast known as brain cancer. He was diagnosed in October 2016 and was instantly caught up in the whirlwind of surgery, radiation and repeated rounds of chemotherapy.

Dave is a devoted single father and is strong and determined to beat this terrible thing so he can be around for years to see his daughter grow into adulthood.

While so many of you beautiful people have already reached out with your time and resources, others have asked how the best way to donate money is, so we decided to set this up on Dave’s behalf. All funds will go towards Dave’s medical, living and mounting legal expenses so that he can focus on healing his brain and getting back to his creative center.

All prayers, healing energies and good vibes welcome!
