The Art of Moonalice
The Rock Poster Society hosted it’s annual Festival of Rock Posters this past Saturday at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. There were many Moonalice and Doobie Decibel System artists attending this special event, telling stories, selling art, and signing concert posters.

The Rock Poster Society presents it’s annual event Festival of Rock Posters on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Held at the San Francisco County Fair Building (also known as the Hall of Flowers), it’s the biggest rock poster event of its kind! This is a great opportunity to meet your favorite artists and get your posters signed too.
This event runs from 10:00am to 6:00pm and admission will vary depending on the time you arrive, after 3:00pm the event is FREE. A complete list of all artists and vendors attending is at TRPS.org or join the event on Facebook for more information.

According to Moonalice legend, 2016 has been a year when the outrageous became commonplace. Fortunately, as depicted in today’s poster by the inimitable Lee Conklin. The paint is not yet dry on this year. There is still an opportunity to make it way better. So let me give you a couple specific examples. We can look forward to a strong even year finish of the baseball season for the Giants. We can defeat the forces of darkness on election day. We can also pass Proposition 64 the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. And begin the long process of restoring our Tribe’s favorite vegetable to its rightful place of leadership in society. And right here, right now ladies and gentlemen we can each be the light in someone else’s life. So turn to the person next to you and give him or her a really big hug.

On Saturday, August 6, 2016, The Rock Poster Society is hosting their annual summer event Rock Art By The Bay at Mission Masonic Center in San Francisco! Admission is FREE to this one day event, and will run from 10:00am to 6:00pm. If you are in the Bay Area, this is a great opportunity to meet many Moonalice and Doobie Decibel System poster artists, and get some of your favorites signed too! Moonalice/Doobie Decibel System artist Gregg Gordon (aka GIGART) designed a a fantastic poster for the event (pictured above) and will be available to purchase at the show.
