Legend

According Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Wendy Wright features one of the great matriarchs from these parts, Ukiah Moonalice. Ukiah led the tribe for a generation, but her greatest contribution was the invention of crop dusting. In true Moonalice tradition, Ukiah put her own twist on it. She didn’t believe in pesticide, but she believed in keeping her farm hands happy. Each day at 4:20, she took to the air and dropped doobies to the people working in the fields. As you can imagine, this was a great advance in labor relations. Then one of the workers pointed out that it’s always 4:20 somewhere. Ukiah had to scramble to keep her biplane in the air, but she kept the field hands fully supplied 24×7.

According to Moonalice legend, artist Wendy Wright believes the poster depicts Frances Moonalice, she was a famous W.A.S.P pilot back in WWII. She was a real ace. After she finished the service, she bought her own bi-plane. She became a aerobatic stunt pilot and participated in air show carnivals. She would steal the show with her tricks and maneuvers and become one of the most influential women pilots of her time.

According to Moonalice legend, many strange things happen on the road. The cancellation of this show was one of them. What a bummer. Great poster by Wendy Wright, though!!! It depicts the energetic 99% Moonalice, doing her morning trapeze juggling ritual. She could juggle a whole band for hours!! It’s all fun until someone gets hurt.

According to Moonalice legend… Meet Trixie Moonalice. Trixie sometimes sneaks aboard the Moonalice tour bus, when they go out on long tours. After the final Moonalice song is played, she does a final closing act with her impressive acrobatic moves on her trapeze. She goes off with a bang and throws the bands instruments up in the air, while the crowd showers her with roses.

According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Wendy Wright depicts, Sunshine, the Moonalice Psychedelic Hop Goddess. Little is known about Sunshine. No one but Wendy has seen here, but we are told she mysteriously appears whenever Moonalice plays and where really good beer is served. That means she may be among us tonight! If you see a beautiful woman who might the Psychedelic Hop Goddess, keep it to yourself. She’s shy and doesn’t want anyone to make a big deal out of her presence at this gig.
