According to Moonalice legend, in our tribe, this is the Year of the Beaver. The beaver represents industry. It is the symbol of MIT, the engineering school. As depicted in tonight’s poster by Gary Houston, the Beaver also is the official totem of recreational cannabis in Oregon. The official totem of medical is the duck, duh. We came to Portland in search of recreation and we were not disappointed. Ten days into recreational sales, the supply and selection were limited … but the quality is outstanding! Go Beaver!

On Saturday, October 24, 2015, The Rock Poster Society is hosting their annual event Festival of Rock Posters at the San Francisco County Fair Building in beautiful Golden Gate Park. There will be Moonalice poster artists attending! The cost of admission varies (it’s free after 3:00pm), and will run from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

If you’ll be in the area, this is a great opportunity to meet the human behind the art, and possibly even get some of your Moonalice posters signed too! Carolyn Ferris designed a beautiful surreal event poster (pictured above) that will be available for purchase at the show.
