Detroit Historical Museum Opening Reception for Gary Grimshaw on October 30, 2014

The Detroit Historical Museum presents an incredible exhibit of work by Gary Grimshaw, Detroit’s counterculture poster artist opening on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 6:00pm. Grande Ballroom promoter Russ Gibb will be in attendance, as will photographer Leni Sinclair (who also did the Grande Ballroom Light Show with Gary and among others).

On opening night, the Museum will also show the documentary “Louder Than Love: A Grande Ballroom Story” by Tony D’Annunzio.

Poster fans will especially appreciate Gary’s old friend Ralph Rinaldi who will print a memento that night – for all that attend – on an old letterpress machine at the Museum. Best of all – everything is FREE!
