Our dear friend, the psychedelic poster artist Wes Wilson, has died. Wes was a pioneer of the San Francisco poster scene. His 1965 anti war poster “Are We Next?” foreshadowed the problems we face today. His style of filling all the available space with lettering, creating fluid forms made from letters, and using flowing letters to create shapes became the standard that most psychedelic artists followed. Wes created 26 posters for us plus 3 for Roger’s solo shows.
❤️Rest In Peace, dear friend. 💔
📹 This short documentary we made about Wes takes a look at the history of the father of the ’60s rock concert poster.
Proceeds from the sale of each of the 29 posters in this amazing collection will go to Wes Wilson’s estate.
