“The Roots” Firehouse Poster Show
Thursday, March 8, 2012 – 6pm until late.
There will be an art show at the original Firehouse (1648 Pacific Avenue, San Francisco, CA) on March 8 at 6:00pm. For those unfamiliar, the Firehouse is a landmark building built in 1917 where artists Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan designed and silkscreened rock posters from 1997-2001. They came to love this building and was a great source of inspiration. This spot was also a crucial jump-start to the establishment of The Firehouse Kustom Rockart Company.
Many of the silkscreened Moonalice posters have been printed by The Firehouse, a few are pictured below, including a collaboration with Chris Shaw for the Moonalice 420 Tribal Pow-Wow poster at Slim’s in 2010.
Rare and formerly unavailable posters & prints to be exhibited at this special event!
