According to Moonalice legend, we have some good news. It is 4/20 everywhere.
This is our second 4/20 since the pandemic began. A year ago, we had no idea what was coming. As we are think back on it, some of what happened seems unreal even now.
Some things may have changed permanently. When you last passed a doobie, did you imagine that it might be the last time ever?
Tonight’s poster by Alex Fischer depicts Quarantine Moonalice, the patron saint of lockdown and of bogarting joints. We asked Quarentine whether she would ever pass again. Her reply: “Are you kidding, Darling? If I’ve got ‘em, I gonna smoke ‘em … alone. Until I zone out. The way Panama Red intended.”
We look forward to a day when we can socialize again, but suspect that Quarantine will be right about one thing. From now on, the only passing allowed in this tribe will be passing out.
