Moonalice Artists Attending TRPS Festival of Rock Posters in San Francisco on October 24, 2015

On Saturday, October 24, 2015, The Rock Poster Society is hosting their annual event Festival of Rock Posters at the San Francisco County Fair Building in beautiful Golden Gate Park. There will be Moonalice poster artists attending! The cost of admission varies (it’s free after 3:00pm), and will run from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

If you’ll be in the area, this is a great opportunity to meet the human behind the art, and possibly even get some of your Moonalice posters signed too! Carolyn Ferris designed a beautiful surreal event poster (pictured above) that will be available for purchase at the show.

According to Moonalice legend, the Unity Festival in Guerneville has been cancelled. Apparently the promoter did not pay the sound company or the bands. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

According to Moonalice legend, unity is a really good thing. Our tribe is all about bringing people together. That said, sometimes we take the whole unity thing too far. A case in point would be Our Egyptian cousins, Cleopatra Moonalice 1 and Cleopatra Moonalice 2. As depicted in today’s poster by the amazing David Singer, the Cleopatras are twins, conjoined at the heart. Sharing a heart is beautiful, but it complicates mobility. The only way they can get around is by doing cartwheels. Don’t even ask what happens after the Cleopatras have a meal. The good news is that with no lower bodies, the Cleopatras get really high … weed goes right to their lovely heads!

Bread & Roses presents Hope & Healing Through Live Music

Bread & Roses is a philanthropic organization that produces more than 600 concerts a year for people who can’t get out: people in prison, hospitals, nursings homes and the like. They produce our shows at Delancey Street, veterans hospitals and similar venues. B&R gave us an award this year for posters that our artists have created for their events. We love Bread & Roses and hope you will join us in supporting their mission.

According to Moonalice legend, Wyoming is known as the Cowboy State, but it offers so much more, especially to cowgirls in Jackson Hole. Fresh air, tall mountains and good weed are just the start … this town is crawling with fine examples of manhood, one which is depicted in today’s poster by David Singer. Red Wing Moonalice is a guitar slinging cowpoke who tamed Wyoming’s unridable bronco, Steamboat. The state of Wyoming tried to honor Red Wing for this amazing feat … they threw a huge party, but Red Wing didn’t show. He got stoned and he missed it.

According to Moonalice legend, the play’s the thing, but cannabis is the other thing. Theater and cannabis have a long and happy association in Ashland. As depicted in tonight’s poster by David Singer, Botticelli’s Venus moved here after she retired from painting and turned to a life of crime … misquoting Shakespeare and growing weed. She married Butterfly Moonalice and produced fine cannabis and the most unusual looking offspring. If you see her, say hello.
