According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Moonalice art director Chris Shaw depicts the Lockjawed Moonfish, a creature that inhabited the Bakersfield area when it was a lake. The local tribe liked fish, but they liked hemp better. So the tribe kept Moonfish as pets, teaching them a specialized form of acqua-culture. They grew a special strain of hemp optimized for use in water pipes.

Sullivan invented the light at the end of the tunnel … and it made him rich. Unfortunately, he pissed away his fortune trying to perfect a self-lighting doobie . . . Speaking for us, the pursuit of a self-lighting doobie seems worthwhile. Unfortunately, the power source used by Sullivan Hall Moonalice was the only one he had . . . the light at the end of the tunnel.

According to Moonalice legend, the Denver & Rio Grande railroad track near here has a slope of 4 degrees, which makes it both the steepest and the HIGHEST adhesion railroad in the US. Kind of hard to believe we didn’t come here a lot sooner.

According to Moonalice legend today is the 35th anniversary of the first royal email message!!! It was sent by Queen Elizabeth. No doubt it went to her dealer, Sir Mountbatten Moonalice, because the text read: “We need another BOOK (hint, hint) asap. QE2.”
