According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Moonalice art director Chris Shaw depicts the Lockjawed Moonfish, a creature that inhabited the Bakersfield area when it was a lake. The local tribe liked fish, but they liked hemp better. So the tribe kept Moonfish as pets, teaching them a specialized form of acqua-culture. They grew a special strain of hemp optimized for use in water pipes.
