April 25, 2014 Pappy & Harriets, Pioneertown, California
Moonalice poster by David Singer
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, Pioneertown got its start in the movie business … and introduced our tribe to the wonders of celluloid. Members of our tribe were understudies to the boulders in Joshua Tree National Park and they moonlighted as hempistas at the very first saloon that operated at this address. As David Singer’s amazing poster reveals, the good guys may have worn cowboy hats in Pioneertown, but at Pappy & Harriet’s everyone is welcome, including us, even if we are lost and have flowers in our hair.
