Legend

According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by Carolyn Ferris depicts Mooner’s Market, the legendary store where members of the tribe go to cash in their wishes. Whenever the moon is full, members of our tribe are allowed to make a wish, which is then entered into a raffle. Winners are informed by smoke signals, after which they go to Mooner’s to collect their booty. We bring this up because there are some winners here tonight who missed their smoke signals. If you got ’em, we recommend you smoke ’em. If you still aren’t sure, keep smoking until you are certain!!!

Artist’s Statement

“The devil is in the detail on this piece. We see here some shoppers at the Eight Mile High store. All are planning on attending the afternoon Moonalice show on August 8 at Moraga Commons in Moraga, California. You may wish to look in their carts. They are stocking up on some pleasurable necessaries on the Isle of Me and the Isle of You before flying off to see the show. I’d like to have a box of Tell Me It’s OK….There is a little food for thought in this image. May we all stay in the pink, healthy and happy and delightfully always filled with Moonalice music. Thank you Moonalice, so very much!!!”
