Private Party and Tour by KFOG for the “Bill Graham and the Rock and Roll Revolution” exhibit.

Bill Graham was much more than the architect of the rock concert as we know it; he escaped the Nazis as a child and lost most of his family to the Holocaust. He was also a great philanthropist, supporting myriad local causes. In 1975, he donated to the City of San Francisco the giant menorah that is lit every Chanukah in Union Square. It was the first public menorah-lighting ceremony in the US.

Learn about this colorful, controversial, and larger-than-life Bay Area figure at “Bill Graham and the Rock and Roll Revolution” exhibit opening March 17th at the Contemporary Jewish Museum. And listen to KFOG’s Acoustic Sunrise & Sunset on Sundays (7-11 am; 7-9 pm) for passes to a private party and tour on April 3rd, with Rosalie and live music by the Doobie Decibel System with Lebo from ALO!
