Moonalice poster by Chris Shaw
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, mining has always been a major activity here in Nevada City. When the silver and gold ran out, the miners searched for something new. They dug and they dug. Found lots of rocks. They panned and they panned. Caught a couple small trout that they had they throw back. Then they discovered weed! The weedrush in Nevada City was on! As depicted in tonight’s poster by our art director, Chris Shaw, old habits died hard. Some of the miners insisted on picks and shovels, instead of rolling papers, pipes, and vapes. More than a few teeth were lost before everyone came around to modern consumption techniques. Never forget: inhale from the end that is not on fire.
