Legend

According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by Dennis Larkins depicts the Humboldt Fair in 1958, the year after the Russkies launched Sputnik and scared the pudding out of every soul in the United States of America. It was a scary time until Pokey Moonalice — of the Bassett Hound Moonalices — blasted off in his little spaceship and made the ladies of Humboldt County smile. Pokey didn’t say much, but he left behind a message for anyone who could read hound scat: No one can keep us down unless we let them.
