Tonight’s poster by Chris Shaw honors the US Women’s National Team on the occasion of their triumph in the World Cup in France. These women are brilliant athletes, but also inspirational activists for gender equality and other civil rights. Just like the Mary the Moonalice Musketeer in Chris’s poster, the soccer team has tamed the white male patriarchy like a tiny female riding a big rooster. Or as they say in France, a woman riding a giant cock.
