Legend

According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Dennis Larkins features an immortal tribal dance group, the Three Graces. Charm, Beauty, and Sensimilla Moonalice were foxy by nature, as well by costume, and they captivated audiences throughout San Rafael during the Depression. The act began with a smoke machine that filled the hall with herbal pleasure. No one remembers what happened after that, but it must have been good!

Artist’s Statement

In the spirit of the Ziegfeld Follies and nightlife’s golden age, I thought it fitting that a place with a classy name like George’s Nightclub would feature a “warm-up” act representing the modern embodiment of the classical Three Graces: Charm, Beauty and Creativity! – Dennis Larkins
