According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by Lauren Yurkovich provides clues about the origins of this 34-year old festival. It depicts Winona Moonalice, our tribe’s matron saint of intoxicating beverages. Known to everyone as Wine — or Wino to her family — she married her third cousin, Arthur, and together they pioneered summer gatherings where people walked in the sunshine, eating, drinking and looking at pretty things … before eventually keeling over. To honor Arthur and Winona this event is known as the Art and Wine Festival.
