According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster features the matriarch Jewels Moonalice. Jewels was a beauty, but she was stark raving mad and never stopped yelling. Eventually she turned into a bronze statue, but even then she drove everyone nuts. That’s when they put her on a pedestal in the middle of Union Square.
