Moonalice poster by Alexandra Fischer
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts Cinderella Moonalice as she returned home to the Coach House in a horse-drawn walnut. What began with a glass coach ride to the senior prom, turned weird, forcing Cinderella to turn pro. Next thing she knew, Cinderella was having with cocktails with Rachel Maddow, doobies with Tommy Chong, target practice with the ghost of Hunter Thompson, and finally a discussion of the banking regulations with Ben Bernanke. At some point, she took a multi-colored handful of pills and woke up in the walnut carriage, driven by a pair of one-legged 2-D footmen with funny hats. The moral of the story? If you go to a prom in San Juan Capistrano, don’t swallow.
Artist’s Statement
Inspired by the venue name, I thought ‘Moonalice’ should be arriving in style in her moon coach 🙂
