According to Moonalice legend, today is May Day. What began as a pagan celebration of spring has evolved over years. Christian religions didn’t like May Day enough to do much outside of Germany, so the labor movement took it over. As tonight’s poster by Ron Donovan reminds us, May Day was most popular behind the Iron Curtain … which means it lost clout after the Berlin Wall came down. Seeing an opportunity, the Moonalice tribe stepped up. For us, May Day signals the beginning of planting season. It’s time to prepare your seedlings for the great outdoors! May all your harvests be bountiful!
