April 8, 2012 Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn, New York
Moonalice poster by David Singer
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by David Singer depicts the moment – a few gazillion years after the big bang – when the gods invented bowling. It all began as a practical joke – “hey, let’s play ball with a few small planets” – but one thing led to another and pretty soon they formed a Tuesday night bowling league. It was a dangerous game and the planets used as bowling balls were never the same. Fortunately, the gods realized that they could make a lot of money by building and operating bowling alleys than by destroying planets.
