April 13, 2013 Good Old Days Festival, Pacific Grove, California
Moonalice poster by Dennis Larkins
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, Pacific Grove has a history of organic farming that dates from the Good Old Days. Do you know how it started? Things around here were not always so good. Today’s poster by Dennis Larkins depicts Monsanto Moonalice, the first genetically modified steak on the hoof. Monsanto ate like a pig and grew like an elephant. By the time he was a year old, Monsanto was the size of an Abrams battle tank, which meant he had free run of the town. If you were here then, you may have experienced the involuntary spine rattling terror engendered by Monsanto’s moo. If not, please be aware that the rest of us learned an important lesson: eat more chicken.
