Moonalice poster by Chris Shaw
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Chris Shaw is a Rohrschach test. Tell me what you see . . . I don’t know what it says about me, but when I looked this image a couple hours ago, I was convinced it depicted Phoenix Moonalice, a technicolor flaming bird who once hung out with YoHoHoCam Moonalice, the famous Pirate Moonalice of Mesa. Back before Arizona’s statehood, YoHoHoCam sold furniture made from rolling papers. Unfortunately, Phoenix was a hot tempered bird. From time to time, she caught fire. This was handy when YoHoHoCam needed to light a doobie, but it was hell on the furniture. It is also is why there are no old buildings left in Phoenix.
