According to Moonalice legend, today was the first time Pete Sears played his bass Dragon in concert. Made from the same wood by the same master luthier as Jerry Garcia’s Tiger, Dragon was stolen during a riot at a Jefferson Starship concert in 1978. As karma would have it, Pete located the bass a month ago and got it back today. It is a magnificent instrument!!!

According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts Porky and Bud Moonalice, our greatest fans. When we released our first album, no one in the music press cared. One guy told us pigs would fly before a brand new band of pot smoking bass players would ever take off. That seemed like a tall order until we met Porky and Bud. We gave them some Blue Dream and all of us have been flying sky high ever since.
