Caitlin Mattisson is an illustrator, artist and CCA(C) alum, born in San Francisco and currently living in the Oakland hills. Growing up in the bay area, she was surrounded by the rock and roll poster culture from the 1960’s, and inspired by the hand drawn/painted techniques of the artists from that time. Caitlin draws inspiration from the Tarot, Sci-Fi novels, horror & cult movies, comic books, ancient cultures/folklore, and phantasmagoric music. She is the winner of the “Wildcard” entry for San Francisco Center for the Book 2012 Roadworks. She teaches Screen Printing and Illustration for Workshop SF and primarily illustrates for musicians and select fashion companies.
