Moonalice poster by Patricia & George Sargent
Legend
According to Moonalice legend, all of us are in recovery from something. It’s also true that each of us has a dream. Tonight’s poster by George and Patricia Sargent depicts Alison Moonalice, a flapper from the 20s, whose dreams of changing the world got sidetracked by addiction. Alison got lucky. She found a home at the predecessor to Delancey Street called Delancey Path – back when the streets around these parts were dirt. She rebuilt her life. Like Delancey Street, Delancey Path had a company to help people move and a restaurant that served San Francisco’s finest milk shakes. Alison went to work in both businesses and before long she was living her dream.
