4/20/13 Moonalice poster by Wes Wilson

Relix magazine just published an article by Roger McNamee about preserving poster art that’s not to be missed! In the piece Roger explains why poster art matters to Moonalice and talks about the Moonalice poster series, currently at 786 original works of art. Most exciting is a new project in the works, the Haight Street Art Center.

ABN Includes ¡ORALE! Kings and Queens of Cool In Top 20 Art Exhibitions of 2014

The Harwood Museum of Art , Saturday, September 20, 2014 - Sunday, January 25, 2015

Art Business News has named ¡ORALE! Kings and Queens of Cool at the Harwood Museum one of the top 20 art exhibitions of this past year. The four-part exhibition celebrates the post-pop art movement of West Coast surfer, street and car cultures, as well as Hispano expressions of northern New Mexico. With more than 300 works by 150 artists including Dennis Larkins, David Singer, Alton Kelley, Lee Conklin, Stanley Mouse, Wes Wilson, & Winston Smith, the exhibit highlights graffiti, tattoos, post-pop illustrations, pinstriping and rock poster art, subverting ideas of “lowbrow art” and celebrating the “outsiders” of creation. See the complete list at

The exhibition is running until Sunday, January 25, 2015.

According to Moonalice legend, once upon a time there came upon the land a Scully named Rock. Rock shined bright to guide the band and the heads from Acid Tests to Pyramids. In a music industry filled with rough trade, Rock stood out as one of the really good people. We are gathered here tonight for a holiday Tribute to Rock.

We have an incredible set of 16 posters for tonight’s show.
