According to Moonalice legend, there is no Six Million Dollar Man in the Moonalice tribe. There is, however, a “six of one, half dozen of the other” man. As depicted in tonight’s poster by the amazing David Singer, Zodiac Moonalice was part ram, part man, part salmon, with lots of spare parts thrown in for good measure. Zodiac’s greatest accomplishment is keeping his shit together, but he also has a superpower. He can hit a Moonalice logo – held in his right hand – with a photon in his left. If you don’t think this is impressive, try it yourself. First person to send me a selfie video doing this wins a cupcake!!!

The Moonalice Legend: Poster and Words, Volume 5 Hardback Book

The Moonalice Legend: Poster and Words, Volume 5 Hardback Book

When facts and science are forced to compete with total nonsense in the marketplace of ideas, the Moonalice Legend is your friend. In this, the fifth volume of The Moonalice Legend series, we memorialize the growing nonsense in our culture. The Legend has stoood the test of time, filling in the blanks of history with nuggests of information that would otherwise exist only in the minds of our tribe. The Legend goes where scholars fear to tread, from our tribe’s commitment to Pride Day, to gluten-free cannabis and to the successful pursuit of the elusive Arctic River Hippo and Fabulous Furry Frog Brothers. You’ll also learn the legends of Slugger Moonalice and the first Moonalice gold digger. You will have an opportunity to join Occupy Hemp, and to meet a bunch of great artists with whom Moonalice played this year, including U2, Jefferson Starship, the New Riders of the Purple Sage, and Grace Slick. This book will introduce you to the latest Moonalice school of poster art: Cannabism. When it comes to history, there is nothing like the Moonalice Legend.

This book also includes the best poster art of San Francisco, created for a band commited to the notion that music, art and laughing are good for the human spirit.

According to Moonalice legend, Pioneertown got its start in the movie business … and introduced our tribe to the wonders of celluloid. Members of our tribe were understudies to the boulders in Joshua Tree National Park and they moonlighted as hempistas at the very first saloon that operated at this address. As David Singer’s amazing poster reveals, the good guys may have worn cowboy hats in Pioneertown, but at Pappy & Harriet’s everyone is welcome, including us, even if we are lost and have flowers in our hair.
