Moonalice poster by Alexandra Fischer

According to Moonalice legend, tonight’s poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts Professor Cozmic Moonalice. Professor Moonalice is a biologist at the University of Oregon specializing in plants that reflect the best aspects of this wonderful state. The poster shows Cozmic with the hybrid that won her the Moonalice Prize: the rosenshroom. By crossing psilocybin with an American Beauty rose, Cozmic ensured that Eugene, not Disneyland, is the happiest place on earth.

Moonalice poster by Alexandra Fischer

According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by Alexandra Fischer depicts Vela Moonalice, the tribe’s patron saint of human powered, two-wheeled transportation. Among Vela’s many accomplishments was the creation of Bicycle Day, a tribal holiday that occurs every year on the 19th of April. Bicycle Day celebrates the experimental philosophy of Dr. Albert Hoffmann, a Swiss chemist of great note in our tribe. Today we celebrate Biktober, a new holiday that celebrates everyone on two wheels in the the town of Fairfax. In keeping with the season, the focus is on agriculture. The signs say “beer,” but we know better. Some of us who don’t live didn’t realize that Biktober is strictly BYOB, so we hope you will share.

According to Moonalice legend, we have gathered here today to celebrate Hardly Strictly Bluegrass … the best thing about our great city of San Francisco. We have 3 posters for you, by Alexandra Fischer, Chris Shaw and Stanley Mouse. Mouse’s poster depicts the Great Spirit of our tribe, Dopey Moonalice, who makes sure nobody runs out of weed. Thanks to Big Steve and the U.S. Department of Entertainment and Weed, Dopey is back on the job after a long absence. From now on, nobody runs out of weed. Is that clear? If you have any questions, ask Big Steve.
