Moonalice poster by Carolyn Ferris

According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by Caroline Ferris depicts Stony Squirrel Moonalice and his penguin sidekick, Bud.  Stony and Bud got off to a rough start in Hollywood — back in the early 60’s — when they lost the cartoon audition to Rocky & Bullwinkle.  But Stony and Bud never gave up.  They moved to Junction City and devoted themselves to tribal agriculture.  Their herb was overpowering from the first puff, but supplies were only available to tribes that stomped.  No one who  enjoyed Stony/Bud product ever admitted it came from a rodent and a very small flightless bird.   Now you know.   If you stomp with enough magic, Stony and Bud will appear.   The password is 4:20.

According to Moonalice legend, this amazing poster by Carolyn Ferris is called Dragon Spell!

Squirrel Boy is seen here singing to Moonalice’s Mr. Spaceman song playing on the radio. She’s a light chain music player and strums to the rhythm by hanging the chain from her neck. The dragon on the table is a water dragon; so don’t worry, he’s alive and breathing, he just has to be present for the spell. They need to transport themselves to the Trinity Tribal Stomp Festival, but not until after the song is over.” — Carolyn Ferris, artist
