Moonalice poster by John Seabury

According to Moonalice legend, today’s poster by John Seabury depicts what would happen if any member of the Moonalice tribe were to look too closely at today’s annular eclipse!!! Is this scary, or what? Let’s not go there. The good news is that there is no danger in looking closely at the poster. It’s a beauty!

Dino Giacomazzi brought welder’s glasses through which everyone saw the eclipse. Glenn and Patrick put the glasses over the video camera for the second set!!!

I wanted this poster design to feature only the band’s name, no narrative content. After I started drawing, this vortex gradually appeared in the middle, pushing the upper and lower letters apart. The vortex turned into an eyeball.”  - John Seabury, artist
