Accord­ing to Moon­al­ice leg­end, mem­bers of the tribe in San Fran­cisco sought refuge in the 1960s in a church with an unusual name. The church had a fan­tas­tic choir and a com­mit­ment to help­ing those who could not take care of them­selves. It had the best soup kitchens any­body ever saw. It helped HIV/AIDs patients. It had this really cool pastor-in-chief. Unfor­tu­nately, the tribe mem­bers can’t remem­ber any of the names. What could pos­si­bly explain such a mem­ory lapse? Hmmmm …
